Oli is a Sydney-based artist creating vivid punk creatures in richly textured oil pastel and vibrant gouache paint.

Starting their art alias Oxenfrii in 2025, Oli’s work is inspired by a lifelong interest in historical art and myth, referencing Medieval and Renaissance European art, and delving into the layered meanings and significance of animals as a vehicle for the human experience.

Taking art that has been washed of colour, and eroded by time, reimagining it in full vibrancy for a modern lens and creating their own mythology of beastly guardians.
